U0101 Lost Communication With TCM (In ORC/SRS Module)

U0101 code - When monitored this DTC with the ignition on, battery voltage between 10 and 16 volts, ignition Off Draw (IOD) fused installed. Set condition this DTC the Bus messages not received from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) for approximately two to five seconds.

Possible causes U0101 code:

- CAN C Bus (+) circuit shorted to voltage

- CAN C Bus (-) circuit shorted to ground

- DTCa related to battery voltage, ignition, or VIN messages

- TIPM not configured correctly

- TCM power and ground

- TCM

- Module that set this DTC

Diagnostic test U0101 code

Verify diagnostic trouble code is active

Make sure the IOD fuse is installed and battery voltage is between 10 and 16 volts before proceeding. Turn the ignition on, with the scan tool read ORC DTCs.

Is the U0101 code active?

Yes, refer to DTC in the site TIPM DTC and perform the U0101 code diagnostic procedure.

No, refer to Non DTC diagnostic in the site and perform the stored lost communication DTCs diagnostic procedure.
