U0141 Lost Communication With IPM (FCM/TIPM) (In ORC/SRS Module)

U0141 code - When monitored this DTC with the ignition on, battery voltage between 10 and 16 volts, ignition Off Draw (IOD) fused installed, Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is correctly. Set condition the Bus messages not received from the Totally Integrated Powr Module (TIPM) for approximately two to five seconds. Default actions this DTC MIL Light illuminate.

Possible causes U0141 code:

- CAN C Bus circuit open or shorted

- DTCa related to battery voltage, ignition, or VIN messages

- TIPM power and ground

- TIPM not configured correctly

- TIPM

- Module that set this DTC

Diagnostic test U0141 code

Verify diagnostic trouble code is active

Make sure the IOD fuse is installed and battery voltage is between 10 and 16 volts before proceeding. Turn the ignition on, with the scan tool read ORC DTCs.

Is the U0141 code active?

Yes, refer to DTC in the site TIPM DTC and perform the U0141 code diagnostic procedure.

No, refer to Non DTC diagnostic in the site and perform the stored lost communication DTCs diagnostic procedure.
