U0184 Lost Communication With Radio

Note: This DTC detected in the ORC Module

U0184 code -  When monitored continously when the ignition is on. Battery voltage between 10 and 16 volt. Ignition Of Draw (IOD) fused installed. Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is configured correctly. Set condition, Bus messages not received from the Radio for approximately two to five seconds.

Possible causes U0184 code:

- Can Bus Circuits Open Or Shorted

- DTCS Related to Battery Voltage, Ignition, or Vin Messages

- Radio Power and Ground

- TIPM Not Configured Correcly

- Radio

- Module That Set This DTC

Diagnostic test U0184 code

Step 1. Verify the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Is Active

Make sure the IOD fuse is installed and the battery is fully charged before proceeding.

Turn the iginiton on, with the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Is this DTC active ?

Yes, refer to Totally Integrated power  Module (TIPM) DTC group and perform the U0184-87 code diagnotic procedure.

No, refer to  Non-DTC Diagnostics/Communication.
